The trees arrive in the Spring of 2006 and 3 of the 4 quickly took root and showed signs of life. Another replacement Skinner was sent the next Spring to replace one of the Skinners that didn’t show any signs of life. The trees were planted in our front yard in large castlestone islands with topsoil that was brought in to fill the islands. Soaker hoses were used laid down with 4-6 inches of mulch on top. Two were planted on the easterly side of an almost mature quaking aspen, the other two were planted next to a dogwood that needs to constantly be hacked back to keep from taking over (it is like a weed).
